I like the idea of helping people.
But my parents tell me that if I study to be one, I'll end up poor.
I am very confused.

you have to get accepted to MIT
thereafter you have to go to medical school (robot university) and become a doctor
if you're good at robotics you might become a robotics surgeon

it's about the actual ability to operate on a human being
you need to know how to connect wires and attach parts
