A guy goes to a bar with his dog and he orders a drink for himself.
He says to the bartender, "I'll order for my dog too."
The bartender looks at the dog and says, "What, does it take this long to decide what you want?"
"Sorry, I'll go over here," the man said. "What do you want, boy?"
"Bone!" replies the dog.
The bartender rolls his eyes and then turns back to the man and says, "A bone? Your dog wants a bone?"
"Yes," the man replied.
"A whole bone?" asked the bartender in disbelief.
"Sure," the man said.
So the bartender went into the kitchen and brought out a whole leg of beef and threw it on the floor.
The dog wolfed it down in seconds.
The man turned to the bartender and said, "It's a good thing we have friends like you!"
"What do you mean by that?" the bartender asks.
"Well," the man replies, "If that was just a joke, I'd be dead right now!"
