Because one of my cats is stuck on the window ledge.
I've asked it nicely to come inside, and even got another cat to try and persuade him, but he won't come. He's now just staring out of the window, looking very hungry.
My cat (a ginger one) is also in the room trying to talk him off the ledge. They don't get along.
Should I get a ladder and go out the window? Should I call the emergency services? Or should I leave him alone?

That's not really good to be doing.
But you can leave him there for as long as possible because if you call the police, it might be reported and put on your record.

Because he fell onto the window ledge when we tried to catch him. We live on the ground floor.
I think he was trying to get through the catflap.

Noobdude, the police would only come if he fell off the ledge or something.

Well then.
Go outside and get him, but be careful, cats do bite.

Oh well, I got him off the ledge and put him in the kitchen. He's now sleeping on my lap in front of the fire.

You should always keep your windows closed. The cat will know you have done it and won't try to come through again.
