I don't want to hear about how good you are at video games

It's a game, not an achievement. I'm sorry you spend your life playing a game, but that's your problem, not mine. You're never going to meet a girl by showing off your Call of Duty trophies in real life.

It's not really a competition. Nobody is better than anybody else at video games; they just have different tastes and skills. Some people like the more casual games while others like to grind it out with hardcore experiences.

@Iridium No, it's a competition. I can tell you right now who's better at video games than me. The fact that you can't recognize that there is a definite winner makes this whole thing a little more stupid.

You say this as if it's something bad. The worst thing someone could do on a video game is play it for eight hours straight and not feel any remorse for doing so. It doesn't make them any less of a person.

@Iridium I've seen people play video games for 8 straight days. They weren't in any way, shape, or form, a good person.

"Good" Good is a very subjective term to apply to video games because of how many different kinds of games are available to us. That being said, I don't think one can be called a "bad" person for playing video games. It's just a game, and people can have fun with it without necessarily being obsessed over it and disregarding other things in their lives.

@Iridium Then why the hell did this thread get made? Also, I'm talking about the competitive aspect of video games. Who's better? Who has a higher KDR? Who has killed the most players? This is all to show off to others, which is stupid. Nobody cares if you have a higher KDR than everyone else. You're still just as stupid.

If you want to discuss that, go back to the original post. If you want to discuss people who brag about being "good" at video games then continue talking about that. If not, then keep your mouth shut.

@Iridium It's the same thing. But if you're so interested in this topic, why did you bother even replying to me?

Because I want to talk about the "video gaming community", not just the competitive aspect of games or the social aspect or whatever. I'm talking about everything relating to video games in general.

Someone cares, because this forum was created. If you didn't care about video games and their community, why are you bothering with this thread?

@Iridium It's called a flamebait. I could have also posted about politics, but that would have gotten deleted, so I decided video games would be just fine. I am curious as to how this got past the moderators though, as it usually gets deleted within a minute or two. Or is there some sort of time limit to how long the threads can stay up?

Yeah, there is a time limit. There's no way to tell when the thread will be locked but it usually happens somewhere around 1-3 days. It really depends on the mods and the situation.

I just checked and it's still here. The mods aren't deleting it. Are you trying to get it removed or are you just here to complain?
