in my school we get a 2 minute break every 50 minutes
we also have 5 minute breaks after each class (theyre only for grades 9 and up)

At my school, it's about 30 minutes after each class. Sometimes you get some time to talk to your friends if you're lucky.

spring (january - march)
summer (april - june)

but i do know that canada has one of the most liberal governments out of all western countries
