I'm going to start making a game like this soon. Tell me if you think it's cool, and if so, post your ideas of how you think it will be, or anything that you would like to see in it.
The game's going to be a zombie FPS survival game, but I'll be adding more features.
Basically, you are stuck on an island with no weapons, food, shelter, etc.
Your only goal is to survive and reach the main land.
It's probably not possible, but you could try.
There won't be any monsters, unless the island you're stuck on is haunted.
Instead, there will be animals.
So far, all I want is a bear that can run and attack you. Also, the bear is going to have a health bar that drains once you shoot it, etc.
You might not get it at all, but here's another way to explain it.
It's a lot like the Left 4 Dead series, only a lot smaller and not multiplayer.
Like a single-player version of Left 4 Dead.
Think of this as being the prequel to Left 4 Dead, if you want to look at it like that.
Here's a list of things I've been thinking of:
- Zombies (Obviously)
- A bunch of small islands you can choose to go to at the begining of each level (Only one can be chosen each time. You must find a boat to sail to other islands.)
- Vehicles (Maybe boats?)
- A day/night cycle (I know it's not really a cyle, but whatever. During the day, it's bright outside, and during the night, it's dark.)
- A shop
- Weapons (Of course. All weapons will have to be found or bought)
That's all I'm giving out for now.

Hmmmmm...This sounds quite fun. But why only bears? Why not sharks? Or fish in the water? It's just...fish are so small....they don't seem very much of a challenge...And sharks are so big...that even bears would pale next to 'em...

Oh, yeah...how are you gonna manage to make this game? Are you gonna use Roblox Studio to edit the map, then use a 3rd party program (such as Renderware) to render the graphics and such?

Well, I'll probably try to make things like fish and sharks easy, because otherwise, I'd just get bored with the game.
You'd be able to take down a shark by using a shotgun if you shot it enough times.
The fish would be even easier; You could throw a rock at it and it would die.
The idea is that the bears are going to be the hardest animals to defeat, since they're faster than everything else.

I will use Roblox Studio to edit the maps.
Then, I plan to create the animations myself by making a bunch of different parts into one model. I'm talking about bear claws for weapons, for example.

I've thought of something to add to the game.
A weather cycle. There are going to be three kinds of weather: Sun, Rain, and Snow.
There's going to be a chance for rain or snow at any time, no matter what.
This will cause problems in some cases, but it is something that I might have to include eventually.

Well, here's another update:
There will also be a day/night cycle. During the daytime, there will be sunlight, and during the night there won't be.
The sunsets will be awesome, but that will probably slow down my computer.
I have to look into fixing this, maybe by using a special trick to make the skybox look like sunset.
