I'm sorry for this stupid question but....what do you mean by the "US Government"?
Do you mean the people that run the government? If yes,then there is no point. They're all greedy for power.
If you mean the people that are in the government,well then yes.
They're the ones that make laws and stuff for our country to function properly.
And also help keep peace around the world.
