I'm not a teacher, so I'm not the best person to be saying this. But I feel like it's true.
I had a teacher once who had a very annoying way of teaching. He would give me the answer and then say "you have to do that on your own!".
As soon as he did that, I immediately stopped listening to him and tried to work out the problem myself, even though he was still talking. It took me longer than necessary to figure out the problem, but I'd learned a valuable lesson about what NOT to do when trying to teach someone.
