This is what I've seen so far in the last few months:
- "this is my 10000 post"
- "I just got this account in july"
The number of posts they have is usually irrelevant to them. They're just proud that they can use a forum.
Also, some people even think that getting more than one account will make them seem cool and important.

@vine: Attention is fine for a lot of things, but post count isn't one of them. It's completely meaningless and I don't understand why it seems to mean something to some people.
