My mom and step-dad have been arguing all day today, and they seem to be fighting.
I hope it's nothing serious because I'm tired of hearing arguments.

He was diagnosed with a condition called polycythemia vera when he was young. He had a blood transfusion, and they took too much blood, so he lost too many red blood cells, which caused him to be anaemic.
He now has to take medicine to replenish his blood cells. He also gets an injection every fortnight to control the condition.
I am afraid this might have gotten worse because my step-dad has been getting headaches more often than normal lately.
