Which would take a few minutes in real life (unless you have a very large house) and in MC it's essentially just a bunch of bricks put together.
I haven't played in a long time but I remember there was a lot more to it than that.

You could just play for as long as you wanted then stop. The game doesn't force you to stay on for hours at a time.

The thing about MC is that it's not really one game. It's multiple games wrapped into one.
It has different modes - adventure mode, creative mode, etc.
It has a lot of different things to do.
You can just play it for 15 minutes, or for five hours.
It's really up to you.
