I think the EU is awesome, and I've read all of the books that are considered canon.
Star Wars has always been my favorite sci-fi series, but the prequels and the sequels haven't done anything for me. So, when it comes to Star Wars, I focus on the original trilogy and the expanded universe.
The EU has really expanded the universe, so much so that some people think that the main series is boring compared to the EU. And I agree with them, because there are so many more interesting things in the EU than the main series.
In fact, I like the EU so much that I think they should make a new Star Wars film or TV series based on the EU, not the main series. I don't care if they use the same characters as the main series, just so long as the story is based on the EU.
So yeah, the EU is cool, and I recommend you give it a try if you're a fan of Star Wars.

i dont want a new star wars tv show or movie
but i do want a new game in the canon
i loved knights of the old republic and kotor 2
and i also enjoyed the first three jedi outposts
if only more games like this came out

Yeah, the Knights of the Old Republic series is great too.
And I do want to see more games based on the EU, but it'd be cool if we could get another movie or TV show based on the EU.

Also, the Star Wars Battlefront series is really cool, but the EU tie-ins are even better. I think that the game's developer should make a Star Wars game based on the EU instead of just remaking the original trilogy.

yeah i would love a game set in the clone wars era
that was pretty much the most interesting time in the star wars universe as far as i can tell

I agree with you there. The Clone Wars are one of my favorite parts of Star Wars lore, and they deserve a good video game adaptation.
But I'm more interested in seeing the Republic Era, especially when the Sith Empire is still around.

No, the Republic Era is when the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic were both major powers in the galaxy, and they were fighting each other for control of the galaxy.
The Clone Wars were part of the Republic Era.

the clone wars was like a few centuries before the films
so the republic era was when the clones were all grown up
yeah i do want to see a game about that
but i'd also like a game set during the clone wars

Yeah, I'd love to see another game based on the Clone Wars, too.
I think we can get a good story if they use the events of the Clone Wars as the basis.

Yeah, I agree with you there. LucasArts has made some of my favorite Star Wars games, and I would have liked to see what else they could have done.
But sadly, the company shut down due to a lack of funding.

Yes, it is sad.
And yeah, Knights of the Old Republic is one of my favorite video games of all time.
I'm hoping that we'll get another good Star Wars game in the future.
