I also have some questions about it.
So, Peter's family is all white. The rest of the town is white too. However, they are all white with the exception of one character (the African American cop). If Family Guy was to be set in Canada, for example, then we'd see more diversity. Why didn't this happen?
Also, why can't the parents take care of their kids? In an episode, Stewie has to go back to daycare because Peter and Lois are out on vacation and don't want him around them anymore.
Please explain why Peter and Lois leave Stewie alone.

Who knows. It's a very good show but this is why I love Family Guy more than most cartoons. They do some things that aren't always logical and have some weird stuff sometimes.
