That's why I wanted to discuss this. There are so many people who do it and I just don't get it. Maybe if more people express their thoughts on it like you guys did, we'll start to get somewhere with understanding why people do that.

I believe laughter is a tool of survival.
When someone laughs at another, they are showing off their superiority in terms of wit and intelligence.
It may also be used to gain power over others as well.
