they're going to start a "Safe and Kind" policy where you have to wear the correct clothing that is safe for playing sports or working outside. So they say no short shorts, and we're not allowed to wear leggings (even with shorts) because apparently people might wear them as pants in which case you'd be violating the rules.
I've been told that leggings are banned from school completely so even if I don't play sports I still can't wear them. They also said that the rule applies to men too but nobody cares about what men wear.

but I like wearing leggings to school. I want to wear them, they're comfortable, they look good on me, I don't give a crap about how it looks to other people. That's why I'm posting this.
We don't have any other options for clothing either. Shorts aren't an option because they're too short and you're required to wear something underneath them that reaches the knees (leggings or a long shirt). And the rest is just leggings or leggings with shorts over them

we have leggings banned as well. i dont play sports so i can still wear mine
and we are allowed to wear tank tops. but we're also not allowed to wear anything that shows abs or arms

My school doesn't allow tank tops for girls, either, or anything that shows off your belly button.
