I'm not in shock about it, I've been expecting it. My dad left for 6 years, then came back and he was an asshole to us for the next 5 years, and now he's leaving again. The only thing I can do is just move on with life and deal with the changes.

My parents hate each other, so there's no way to reconcile their issues. They've tried counseling, but nothing worked. It seems pretty common around these days too, and it seems pretty stupid that there's not much anyone can do to prevent it.

They can get along just fine, but their arguments always end up turning into screaming matches where they say they're never talking again and then they do it all over again
