I just got home from school and was sitting in my room. As I was getting on the computer, my younger sister came into my room to get some stuff. And as she walked by me she asked "What did you do today?".
It seemed like an innocent question, so I answered "Nothing" and started to get back to work.
She said "Are you sure?", I answered "Yes, now can you please leave?"
Then she walked out of the room, but then came back in and said "Were you thinking about something else? You don't look happy."
So I told her no, and went back to what I was doing.
That's when my mother came into the room and asked what my sister had been talking to me about, I said nothing. My mother told me to tell her the truth, and that if I did she would give me $10 for my birthday next month.
So, I told her everything, and she gave me $20 because I did what I was supposed to.

Did she really think that you were thinking about something else?

Well, not really.
She just wanted money.
But my mother overreacted.
