Well, it depends on what simulation it is.
Are we living in some sort of virtual reality?
Or are we living in an alternate dimension where our existence was completely different to the one we live in today?
Or even are we living in the future? Where the world is a complete dystopia?

Or the world is being tested to see if it can survive a nuclear attack or a meteorite strike.
I mean, anything's possible! Who knows? We might be living in a planet made entirely out of plasticine, with a population of aliens who resemble human beings. I'm not sure about that, though. It's pretty far fetched.

The thing is, how will we ever know if this is just a simulation?
It's a possibility.
If we were to prove it, we'd be living on an alternate dimension, or even in the future. Which would make it impossible to find out.
I mean, if there was another simulation inside our simulation, then who would really know what reality is?
We can only speculate.
