I was a kid, playing in the street,
When I saw you, who was quite a treat.
I couldn't believe it!
You were so beautiful!
I went up to say hi,
And then I gave you a "hug" with my eyes!
You said something like:
"Did I get that right?"
I couldn't believe how nice you spoke!
Then, I asked if you would like to walk with me.
My heart raced and I couldn't see,
But, you did accept and so we became two.
I can remember when you took your first step,
It just made me feel even better, 'cause I just knew
We would be more than friends and more than foes,
I thought we could build a house, on our own,
Now that you are gone, I can't hold back my tears,
I'm going to do anything, to make you aware,
I need you so badly, like a fish needs water,
Like the sun needs light, to shine,
To live, I need you now.
