especially when they are not one themselves
i think it's a common misconception that nerds aren't social and don't have friends, but that's just not true. I know lots of nerds who are very socially active and have tons of friends
in fact i'm one myself and i think i fit the definition pretty well: a person who has an obsessive interest in something, especially computers or science fiction
that's me
i'm obsessed with video games, roleplaying, and technology, among other things

I've even been called a nerd by people who I thought were my friend
but that's just an example of the kind of people you shouldn't be friends with anyway
