They're always talking about anime, manga, otakus, etc. in every single thread. I'm not an otaku or anything, but they're making OT look like a god damn anime forum.

i'm not sure what you mean by otaku but I usually talk about anime/manga because its good content to talk about
and the reason why people bring it up here more than other subforums is because we arent judged for our tastes unlike most subforums

I know about being judged in other forums, so that's why I made this thread. The thing is, though, it shouldn't happen in this one, too. You see, I am not judging you for liking anime and manga. I just hate that they're making OT look like a god damn anime forum.

we arent talking about anime and manga in every single thread, but we do talk about it a lot and its common for the discussion to arise
its normal for some people to dislike anime but theres still a large portion of us that enjoy it
if we were to exclude all of those people then we wouldnt have as many threads to talk about because theres less people discussing it

The fact that they even bring up the word "otaku" annoys me. Anime and manga is fine. It's the word "otaku". And I'm sorry, but the majority of OTers do talk about anime and manga. Not all of them, but a majority do.

I never said that it was just their tastes. I said that I don't care if people like anime or not. But it's getting out of hand because OT looks like an anime forum now. You're also probably thinking that I hate anime too, but I don't. I don't hate anime at all.

its a word in japanese
so what does it mean
an otaku is a nerd
but thats not always negative
a person who has a lot of knowledge about a topic
and thats really what we are talking about when we talk about anime/manga
its not like we are going around saying "OT is a god damn anime forum!!!" we are just discussing anime/manga like we would any other topic
most people here know that this isnt a god damn anime forum so its annoying to have people act as if it is one
