tell her to be herself. she looks pretty, but it's not about what others think, it's about how you feel. if you feel better with your hair down, keep it down. if you prefer it up, keep it up.
if she doesn't look comfortable with it, encourage her to try other hairstyles. (after all, it is just hair)
