Is this just like when you buy windows but it has to be activated to run programs or something?

What do they mean by 'bedrock'? Is it a completely different game? I've heard of some people saying that the game is on iOS and android only, but then I checked and it's on steam too.

Still, if you don't want to pay, why not play an old version?

Okay, so I played a free trial of it and I can see what the fuss is about.
I didn't understand why people were hating on it before, now I get it. It's basically just another mobile game that has been made for PC.
I can also see why people think it's pay to play: it looks like you need to pay in order to get the full experience.

Also, if you're one of those people who doesn't like the new Minecraft but wants to play the old one, then there are several places online where you can download and play the older versions.
