and this guy in the city (i can't remember where) asked me if i had any food because his pokemon was sick and he didn't have any. i said no, so he left.
i was like "well you can just heal your pokemon and give it medicine yourself..."
then later in the game, i was fighting a battle and it said "that guy wants to join your team"
i was like "what?"
so i clicked yes
he was actually a trainer and he had an eevee! and i got to choose between it being an evolution of a vaporeon, jolterodre, or flareon!!!
i chose vaporeon because that's my favorite water type eevee
but then, when i got out of battle, i saw him again and he was healing his pokemon and he was gone forever...
i was like "OMG WHAT IS THIS NONSENSE" but whatever, i still got my vaporeon!

Well yeah. The fact that the NPC joins your team for no reason is quite weird.
