Yeah, you know, the average American is unemployed for 6 months or something like that. So if you don't find a job soon, it'll be 1 year before you find one.

You'll probably have a lot of competition, since it's such a bad economy, so don't slack off.

Yeah, if you're undecided on what you want to do when you grow up, then you're pretty much screwed. The best thing is to get a basic degree that will allow you to do anything.

@vineshroom well i have an idea in mind but i've never pursued it before i don't even know if i can pull it off but i'm thinking about it and i haven't heard the term 'basic degree' before, can you elaborate?

A 'basic degree' is like a degree that would give you knowledge in multiple areas, so it can't be specialized too much and be useful anywhere you want.

I think that's a good idea. Liberal arts is pretty broad, and as long as you take enough classes to get your required credits, you'll be able to do anything with it. And I wouldn't say you have no interest in jobs, just that you have no interest in those specific jobs. Maybe try finding something that interests you, then research the career. That's how I got into programming.

The best thing you can do is find something you're interested in doing, even if you have no clue how to get into that field. You might be surprised by what you find.

You could probably sell the boat to people, or maybe build smaller boats. I think that could be a good career choice, because there's always a need for new boats. Also, building a house would be extremely expensive unless you were actually paying for materials and labor yourself.

Maybe look into carpentry, too. People always need things built.
