I'd like to add a caveat that i don't have any experience with any consoles from before the late '90s, but I still think they all smell good.
The only one i think is bad is the N64, which is not surprising considering it's the second oldest console I've played.

It's weird because it's only slightly older than my Playstation One, and the PS One smells absolutely wonderful. It smells almost exactly the same as my SNES, but the PS one smells even better.
I guess they make really good smell-good stuff back in the day
