Welcome, fellow off topicers.
This guide will tell you the dos and donts of ot.
Please note that this is just a guide, and not a set of rules.
The dos:
-Post in an appropriate forum
-Use correct grammar
-Dont spam
-Dont use inappropriate language
-Dont flame
The donts:
-Dont spam
-Dont use inappropriate language
-Dont flame
-Dont post off-topic threads
-Dont troll
-Dont use bad grammar
-Dont copy threads (this goes for all forums)
-Dont be a newbag (unless you are new)
If you follow this guide, then ot should be fine. But if you break any rules, you might get banned. Or flamed. And if you're very lucky, both. :3

What about no copying posts from other websites? (i.e. what's good is what's good)

"if you are new"
I don't see how that makes sense.
This guide is pointless anyway since half the OTers can't read or won't listen.

You forgot one thing
DO NOT FLAME ANYONE WHO IS ALREADY FLAMING SOMEONE ELSE, OR YOU WILL BE FLAMED FOR FLAMING THE FLAMER OF THE FLAME.

It's impossible to follow all these rules.
