I don't see why, it's not their fault they are autistic. I have a friend who has autism and he is just a normal person like anybody else, but people still make fun of him and call him weird because he has autism.
Why do you think people make fun of people with autism?

It makes me so sad that my friend has autism and some kids actually make fun of him for having it. I think the best thing to do is just ignore them and be kind to those with autism.

People don't know what autism really is. Autism is a disorder in which people have social problems and have problems understanding things, such as emotions. Some people with autism are very smart and are good at math, but because they have autism, their social skills are bad. People who don't know this may see someone with autism as weird and they might think that their behavior is on purpose. But no, their behavior isn't on purpose; it's their autism making them act like this. They just want to be friends and fit in with everybody else. They don't want to be made fun of or called weird.

I understand why some people make fun of those with autism, but I never understood how they cope and think it's funny. I hate when people call me autistic, but I guess they don't know what autism is and that it's a disorder.
