Take a photo of the other driver, and take one of your own license plate.
Now if they don't have insurance, and there's any damage to your car, you can sue them.

Yeah, but if you don't take a photo then you can't sue them.
It will be considered your fault since there is no proof of the other guy having done anything to you.

well, i'm not going to make an insurance claim on my parents' insurance
i'd just get them to pay for the repairs and stuff
and then when the guy says "how come he didn't go through the insurance"
then i'll say
"because that way you'll get sued and i'll get money out of it"
