I'm in the 8th grade, and we have to wear a blue uniform every day, or we are suspended.
So, some guys decided they were going to wear a different shirt for the last day of school. The shirt said "Wear it with pride." in yellow letters on a white background. And then the guy put a pair of sunglasses over his eyes.
The principal called him down to her office and he told her that he didn't know what the shirt meant, so she sent him back to class.
Then another kid walked up to the teacher wearing the same shirt, and the teacher grabbed him by his arm and pulled him into the hallway. He told her that he was just being an idiot because he hated the fact that he had to wear this stupid uniform everyday.
Now, as you can see, our school is strict, but what do you think about this? Is it right to suspend a child because he is wearing a T-shirt? Shouldn't it be the other way around? The school shouldn't make us wear a stupid uniform, but should let us wear whatever we want if we pay for it?

I don't understand. You think I'm talking about a private school or something? I am not.
We have a private charter school (not a public school) that makes us wear the blue uniforms, but we do get to bring a t-shirt to school on the last day. That's what the kids were doing. And I don't mean "if we pay for it" like buy it for school. I mean, just buy it for ourselves and then they will let you wear it.
